Black cohosh has been associated with rare cases of liver injury. Stop taking this product immediately and speak to your doctor if you develop yellowing of the skin or eyes, dark urine, persistent nausea or vomiting, unusual tiredness, loss of appetite or pain in the upper right of the abdomen. Do not use this product if you have a liver condition or a history of liver problems, and do not drink heavily while taking it. It is not suitable if you are pregnant, breastfeeding or trying to conceive. Speak to your doctor before use if you have or have had a hormone sensitive condition such as breast, ovarian or uterine cancer or endometriosis, or if you take any prescription medication. Use it for defined periods rather than continuously, and stop if you feel unwell.
